WHAT IS STAINED GLASS?
Stained Glass is an art form that dates back to 600 BC. Today we know it as window adornment in cathedrals, homes, and more. But! Stained Glass doesn't have to be relegated to the window. It can also be free hanging pieces. And that is what we create!
We use the copper foil technique of stained glass which involves cutting and grinding pieces of glass, then wrapping the edges with copper foil (which is essentially copper tape). This then allows us to solder the pieces together and create the final piece!
WHAT CAN I DO WITH IT?
All of our pieces can be hung in a variety of places! Windows are a classic favorite, but they are also great on mirrors or on the wall. We've even had a few people hang their Tiny Tushys from their rearview mirrors! These are art objects intended to enhance your space in any way you desire. The only thing we do not recommend is wearing them as jewelry. All of our stained glass contains lead solder and it is not recommend to handle lead.
WHAT ARE MY TINY TUSHY COLOR OPTIONS?
All Tiny Tushys are made with scraps from other projects - that was how they were initially conceived! Because of that, each one is a unique combination of glasses and colors. We want you to be able to get as close to the Tiny Tushy of your dreams as we can, so we offer a few parameters you can select to narrow down what your piece will look like. Below are some samples of both the skin tone options and underwear color family options. Please keep in mind these are just examples of tones, but we feel this is highly representative of the many scraps of glass we regularly get. If you're really hoping for a specific color, mention it in the "Anything you'd like us to know?" section!
